Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Payroll Shack ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the developer platform, APIs, and related websites.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: organization name, email address, password (stored hashed), and role.
  • Billing data: payment history, credit balance, and Stripe customer identifiers. Card details are processed by Stripe and not stored on our servers.
  • Usage data: API calls, MCP tool invocations, timestamps, and related metadata for metering and support.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies (including advertising and analytics cookies described below).
  • Support communications: messages you send through Discord, email, or in-product support channels.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Platform
  • Authenticate users and enforce billing
  • Respond to support requests and send service-related emails (e.g. verification codes)
  • Analyze usage patterns and measure marketing campaign effectiveness
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Advertising & Meta (Facebook) analytics

We use Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure advertising performance and understand how visitors interact with our developer portal — for example, whether someone visited from an ad, created an account, purchased credits, or signed out.

Meta may receive event data such as page views, registration completions, purchases, and sign-outs. Where required, we hash email addresses before sending them to Meta. Meta's use of this data is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.

4. Sharing

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Platform (e.g. Stripe for payments, email delivery providers, cloud hosting, Meta for advertising measurement). We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

5. Retention

We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices

You may update account details in the developer portal. You can opt out of non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly. Residents of certain jurisdictions may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion) — contact us to exercise them.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the version date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
